It’s now been 18 days since I placed my order and 7 days since I left my first of several voicemails on the hotline and no one has called me back or given me any information as to where the filters I ordered are. Not happy with price increase - but everything is higher these days. I haven't put the filters into use yet; I ordered them when I replaced the last ones. However, historically the filters have been good - and it's hard to find them at Lowes or Home Depot. Much more convenient ordering online, from a company I trust and have dealt with for years.

Customer support replied these filters were out of stock -- but we were not informed of this until we reached out. Also, comparable Aqua Pure replacement filters come with a replacement O-ring for the AP200 housing. AFC's filters did not include this part.

The filters and the shipment were fine. What is not fine is the fact that it is impossible to get anyone on the phone when you call. The automated message says to leave a message and you will receive a call back within 1-2 days. I've left two messages over the past week and have yet to receive a call back (or even an email). Unfortunately I need to return the 3 filters I just bought because my water filter system no longer works and I had to replace it with a different one. I need an RMA number so I can ship these back for a refund, but it seems like a hopeless cause trying to get this. Does anybody manage the phones there? If someone could call me (619-461-0682) or email me (glennskirvin@cox.net) with this number, I would really appreciate it.

Nice filter but customer service was incredibly slow. No one was available to speak on the phone. I had to send a email and was told it would be up to 48 hours before I get a reply. I had trouble getting the filter in and wasn't sure I purchased the right one. I was able to install it without any help,...the return email from American Filter as they said, 2 days later. Good product but they need customer service people answering the telephones.

I ordered my filters on line and I had to get a compatible version of my filter i was very confused about which one of the filters works the best for me. One was $120.00 and the order was $70. So I called the company and left a message but didn’t receive a call back or May be I missed it somehow.

My experience was very disappointing, I tried several times unsuccessfully to contact your company. I eventually left a voicemail and never heard from anyone. If Customer Service is anywhere near the top of your company’s priority you’ve failed. Much to my disappointment the filter leaked at the top, where connected to the valve (only on line for 1 week). I removed the unit, and reinstalled, but same issue. Very very slow drip, but set off my monitoring device, which is disconcerting to say the least. I had to install a genuine Acqua Pur unit, and it is not leaking. Now what?

The product is just fine but the issue of customer service was unsatisfactory. The order came in two separate shipments that were about a week apart without being informed of this. This led me to believe that I did not receive what I paid for and tried to contact the company many, many times by phone and also by email. Zero response from either. Finally the rest of the order was delivered but not without being upset about this for a week and no company explanation.

I’m so sorry to give such a bad review…I really wanted to support this American company…but we just didn’t like the way these filters made our water taste. The tap water was actually better. Yes, we ran the filter through at least one gallon of water, and we still don’t like it. It has a metallic taste to it and leaves a strong after taste. I’m returning the three unused filters and have already purchased new filters from a different vendor. :(

I have searched the internet and found the best price for this filter. I am hoping that it cleans our water like the original filter from Aqua Pure which is very expensive. I try to buy American whenever I can but with service like this, I believe I'm going to shop somewhere else. When a person makes a purchase of $151.62, they expect service. Not only did the filters take more than two weeks to arrive. When they did arrive, the box looked as though my 7-year-old grandson had put the filters in the box. Shipping box was of poor quality and looked as though it had been through World War 3. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Being American you should take care of your product more. Since the box was smashed the filters where in not much better shape. I straighten them out the best I could and are going to use them anyway.

As a HVAC & plumbing company, I love shopping with AFC for water filters for our customers and I've always had a great experience. However I ordered these filters by mistake and the returns process is not very customer-friendly. Looks to be a direct replacement for the OEM Insinkerator 501/601 filters, uncertain of all capabilities like removal of VOCs etc. Great water flow from faucet, had air bubbles in the first handful of glasses even after flushing 10+ gallons after installation. At this point, I would order again.

I switched from 3M after becoming concerned with their Top 3 Institutional Holders and other concerns over the use of Ethylene Dioxide in other types of filters (not necessarily AC filters). Just to be safe, I bought local and I'm going for a product that is further removed from the now obvious agenda to cause harm. Smells like a filter should; no alarming odors. American Filter Company makes a great air filter.
